CLIMATE MOOT HITS DEADLOCK

COPENHAGEN: The marathon UN climate talks stumbled into overtime on Friday with leaders still deadlocked over the wording of a pact to temper global warming.The 12-day meeting in Copenhagen was scheduled to have finished at 6:00pm (1700 GMT) but a spokesman for the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) confirmed there was no immediate end in sight."Things are going to go on a long time," Eric Hall told reporters.
