ISLAMABAD, Oct 6 (APP): A delegation of PML led by Ch. Shujaat Hussain called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at his Chamber in Parliament House and discussed with him matters pertaining to new reform package on Balochistan. Senator Mian Raza Rabbani, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee gave a detailed briefing to the delegation on the package.
Welcoming the proposals, the delegation expressed confidence that the new reform package which also incorporates recommendations of Balochistan committee, headed by Ch. Shujaat Hussain, will give Balochistan a healing touch and help in removing the sense of deprivation amongst the people of Balochistan.
The meeting resolved that the Balochistan issue is above party line and hoped that all political forces within and outside Parliament would support the government efforts in addressing the longstanding grievances of the province.
The meeting also expressed confidence that normalization and stabilization of Balochistan would prevent the outside forces from interfering in the affairs of the province.
The PML delegation comprised of Mushahid Hussain, Secretary General PML, Senator Wasim Sajjad, Pervaiz Elahi MNA, Amir Muqqam, MNA and Jam Mohammad Yusuf, MNA.
Federal Minister for Labour and Manpower and Chief Whip in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah was also present in the meeting.
